Grafted In

Oh Man grafted in, you say you don't fit in,
you say you don't fit in

I gave your life the deepest thought
before time began I held your breath in my hand
fashioned with the greatest of skill, my heart did leap

Oh Man grafted in, you say you don't fit in

You walk the streets with intrepid speed filling the City with eternal bliss
overlooking the deepest oceans with heart wide open
captivated by my painted skies and glittering stars
like a lens the world see's me through your eye's

Oh Man grafted in, the folly of man cannot contain what you have

free from attachments, free of ties... you've given over your wants to sojourn my paradise

Oh Man grafted into my heart, fitting in would be like falling apart
for your home is of another time... your home is otherworldly a place divine

A man that laughs, will surely die in sin. A man that laughs before considering what you have
-will lead himself to an empty well
for you my Son, my reservoir, contain my love, my truth, my depth...

Rightly said, you don't fit in for this place is not your home...

Love Like That

Movin towards the glittering streets, hands focused eyes lit like flaming stars
calculated steps, intentional beats lead me to his open gates
generosity purposed in flammable haste entreating pedestrians to enter in

love like that unquenchable fire
love like that unquenchable kiss
love like that
love like that cannot be contained, cannot be missed.

Oceans burst overflowing my heart pushing back the sands of time
pulling me in, pulling me into his rhyme
love like that is hard to find
love like that untamable lion
love like that
love like that invades my mind.

Dreams are kept by his whisperin lips
he moves in to reclaim his Spouse, his love drips like the morning dew
to wet my dreams with purity
love like that simplicity
love like that he's wooing me
love like that a mystery
love like that eternal peace
overtaken -enchanted bliss, his splendor sweet, frees me from a liar's deceit.
love like that, love like that is mine to own...love like that will take me home.

Thanksgiving At Home

I hope you all had a beautiful Thanksgiving! I kept it simple and stood home this year. Me and the kids usually travel to Rancho Cucamonga for Thanksgiving at my Aunt's where all the family gathers. But in the last three years my younger Sister and her family moved to Albuquerque, NM, and recently our cousin and her husband moved to Manhattan, NY.

So this year was a bit different, and sad having them all gone. My mom, and I cooked together and enjoyed a simple quiet Thanksgiving At Home -just my three children, mom and step-dad. I tried a few new Gluten-Free Recipes as well since I went Gluten-Free almost a month now, and had so much fun with it!  (I found I was allergic to Gluten so it's been a fun adventure learning a new way to eat).

I love white and simple!

Today my Mother handed down Grandmother's Platter dish to me.

I made Gluten-Free Corn Bread and Apple Crisp.

Mom and I cooked together today! Such a special Thanksgiving.

Ask Of Me

Grain and Wine abound with grace
Walls they break and crumble down
Shattered glass upon the ground -glittering like a diamond sea.
Ask of Me
Ask of Me
Anything
Summer's gone now, Fall is found -melancholy seeps in like spilled wine on cloth.
Winter's love inward sound -felicitously approaches...
Ask of Me
Ask of Me
Anything
Generosity overflows with deep affection
Fallowness has ceased -endless abundance proceeds with the season's turning
Ask of Me
Ask of Me
Anything
Thankful eyes look up, the brilliant sky looks back
shimmering like silver sand -indescribable grace

Dear Russia

I just wanted to send a sincere thanks to you Russia, for you are my highest viewers aside from the US!! I also wanted to share that this Blog was specifically designed with the intent of sharing my heart as a single-mother -as I processes through my life's trials, and struggles. With the hope that my story could bring healing to the broken hearted -and also for the practice of my craft.

I know I have not perfected my writing skills nor have I found my true style yet, but I am currently taking classes at a Community College with the hopes of sharpening my skill and finding my voice. I will say, my top two writing mentor's are F. Scott Fitzgerald and George MacDonald both deceased, C.S Lewis would follow in third. I've been critiqued by a few people and it hasn't been great feedback...(these are people who have more life experience because they are older and wiser, and practiced in their field, I guess) but I will stay true to my inner writer and stay vulnerable because I believe that that is where the true healing lies...when we are unafraid to share our struggles and remove the mask's,  allowing the walls around our hearts to come down no matter the cost.

I will continue to scribble away and fumble at times as I work through this thing called Blogging, and stay optimistic about my dream of becoming a Writer...even if that means failing at it in the eyes of critics. I will take their notes and apply them but I won't compromise who I am nor stop talking about my love for Christ and what God has done in my life. My writing will find it's audience and there it will stay.

yours

M
